I have lived most of my life between Cape Town and Johannesburg South Africa. I am currently on a PhD journey with the Environmental Learning Research Centre at Rhodes University. My work seeks to explore critical pedagogy for its contribution to learning for/as democratic participation and change action in a context of severe inequality, bound up in a history of socio-ecological injustice. Through this project I am participating in the South African T-LEARNING case study. I have a background in environmental sciences and climate change, with a masters research project exploring skills development and capabilities.
