Transformations methods

Understanding today’s changing world and how we can move towards greater sustainability demands new ways of producing knowledge and making sure it gets used. We believe that finding effective, equitable and lasting solutions to the problems of environmental change requires the involvement of all relevant knowledge-holders throughout the research process.

Research projects under the programme use various methodologies and methods, and members of the Transformative Knowledge Networks are sharing and documenting their learning around transdisciplinary research. This page gathers materials about some of the methods being used:

What are transformations labs (t-labs)? Laura Pereira (PATHWAYS)

What is participatory mapping? Million Belay (T-LEARNING)

What is the Alternatives Framework, and how is it used? Neema Pathak Broome (ACKNOWL-EJ)
