What do we know about transformations to sustainability?

Knowledge about transformations to sustainability is increasing but still fragmented. The T2S programme produces and shares cutting-edge thinking on social transformations and on solutions-oriented, co-produced research for sustainability.

What is social transformation?

A virtual, ongoing special issue of Current Opinion in Environmental Sustainability on ‘The State of Knowledge on Social Transformation’, launched in 2019, gathers reviews of recent literature on various dimensions of social transformations to sustainability, drawing conclusions for research, practice and policy. Papers are contributed both by T2S programme members and the wider transformations research community.

March 2021 – Susi Moser leads Ulrich Brand, Cheikh Mbow and Karen O’Brien in a virtual roundtable discussion of some of the critical questions for research on social transformations in 2021.
