New video: research into transformations
How does change happen? What are the factors that drive change? And can we control for it?
In Potsdam last year, we gathered together our seed grantees, and noted researchers on social change, in the first of a series of annual Transformative Knowledge Workshops. These workshops will eventually lay the foundation for the global Transformations Knowledge Trust that is being developed through the ISSC’s Transformations to Sustainability Programme.
Participants discuss their notions on social change — what is needed for better and more effective research into social change, and how change happens.
The ISSC’s Transformations to Sustainability programme is an exciting new global research funding programme to promote research on some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Through its novel transformative knowledge networks, we will seek to highlight the fundamental innovative processes of social transformations needed to secure effective, equitable, and durable solutions to questions of global change and sustainability.
